It is a valiant goal to change the world through architecture, but we must start somewhere...
Even if it's just a small town, community, or neighborhood.
Empowering Communities Through Design
Neighborhood Build, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers pro-bono conceptual and schematic design consulting services to underserved communities. Depending on the type, size and depth of a design project, the concept and planning phase can cost upwards of $20,000, with architects charging over $200 per hour for drawings. In providing these services free of charge, Neighborhood Build strives to alleviate some of the financial pressure of a project, while offering a professional presentation of ideas as a starting point.
Collaboration
It is a noble goal to change the world for the better, but we can't do it alone. With a team effort, we can expand our reach exponentially.
Professionalism
We strive to set high standards in the way we conduct our work and interactions. As we seek to be a reliable resource, professionalism is the cornerstone of credibility and success.
Inclusive Design
It is important to actively consider the diverse needs and experiences of users. Spaces should be accessible and welcoming to people of all abilities, ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds.
Transparency
We aim to foster trust, accountability, and integrity in the actions we take. Transparency allows us to demonstrate honesty as we strengthen our relationships with clients, partners and communities.
Our Services
Neighborhood Build, Inc. offers early-phase design work for community development projects. Additionally, we offer support in grant writing to secure funding for these projects. Neighborhood Build also actively engages with communities by assisting with events through volunteer efforts and itemized contributions. No matter the service, fees are never part of the discussion!
Our Purpose
To develop, revitalize, and empower communities by fostering pride in the built environment and its people. We advocate for equality in access to design services, pushing to bridge the gap between quality design and affordability. Neighborhood Build isn’t just about building up a community’s infrastructure, it’s also about building up the people who live there.

Looking to the Future
As Neighborhood Build establishes its longevity, it is our hope to create a scholarship fund, awarding youth in the communities we serve. Priority will be given to students majoring in Architecture, Engineering, or related fields (urban planning, facilities management, etc.).
